Social Parties/After-dinner parties

Hors d'oeuvres only. Prices range from $5 to $15 per person, depending on what hors d'oeuvres you choose and the level of difficulty to prepare them.

Prices depend on what beers, wines, and cheeses you choose and the number of attendees.

Fully prepared meals

Ready to heat & eat for the week. All meals will be labeled and dated for your safety and convenience.

Other

Luncheons (bridal, corporate, etc) are priced by the job, depending on # of courses, # of attendees, and ease of preparation.

Process

  • You contact The Affordable Chef. I get basic information from you about your needs and wants and time frame. We set up an appointment for me to come to your house for planning.
  • At the initial meeting, I'll assess the workspace and inventory your equipment and stocked food products. The more you already have, the less you spend! At this meeting we also go over menu ideas and solidify the number of guests and the date of the dinner. We'll then agree on who does the food shopping. If I do the food shopping, I do require a non-refundable deposit based on how much food I'll need to buy.
  • If so chosen, I then do the shopping just a day or two before your dining experience, to ensure absolute freshness.
  • On the day of your dining experience, I'll come to your house early enough to cook the dishes in time for the start of your event.
  • Once the food is prepared, I can either serve your guests or leave before they arrive. Food can be served plated or buffet style.
  • Before I leave, I will clean your kitchen, so all you have to do is enjoy your dinner!
  • Payment is expected at time of service. I accept cash or check.
